54% of infrarred radiation is coming form the Sun and it has cumulative and harmful effects over skin and eyes. It can cause the appearance of catracts because of the acceleration of the retinal and crystalline lens degeneration. Standard anti-reflection ocatings do not eliminate all the reflection in the visible spectral range. These persistent reflexes can be non-aesthetic and disturbing, mostly in case of lateral and strong illumination.

Achromatic is the premium anti-reflection coating of HORIZONS OPTICAL with colorless residual reflection that provides to the lens a 98% of transmittance and it is easy to clean.
In the standard anti-reflection coatings it is use to appear ghosts images disturbing the vision of the user. This happens when the light reflects from back to the front of the lens and then back again causing a ghost image on the lens where it lookis like there two objects instead of one. That is why it exists an increasing demand from users and experts in vision for those coatings capable to reduce the parasit images that often appear in the anti-reflection coatings provoking glare which is annoying for the user.
Achromatic nti-reflection coating of HORIZONS OPTICAL is able to reduce the intensity of the parasite reflexions to provide a colorless natural lens. And this reverts on providing a greater comfort for the user.

Clear+ UV is the multicoating coating of HORIZONS OPTICAL to protect agains the ultra-violet rays. It provides to the lens more than 98% of transmittance, it is easy to clean, ultra-resistant and with maximum durability.
Clear+ UV avoids the ultra-violet rays which are extremely harmful pass through the retina so this is a potection filter extremely important to ensure a good visual health.
This coating makes the lenses repelent to dirt and water. It also makes the lenses anit-adherent and anti-estatic free from dirt particles.
Thanks to IAD (Ion Assisted Deposition) technology the lens with Clear+ UV coating has more resistance to abration and also increases the hardness of the lens.
